When you need a tree surgeon
Tall trees are part of the charm of the Costa del Sol. But pines, eucalyptus, ficus and plane trees can grow very big, and a heavy branch over a roof, a pool or a road can become dangerous.
A tree surgeon on the Costa del Sol deals with the jobs that need climbing skills or a lifting platform. Typical reasons to call us are:

Height pruning, pine tree pruning and ficus pruning
Height pruning is done with rope access or a lifting platform, depending on the tree and the space around it. Our climbers can reduce the crown of a tall tree, thin it so light and wind pass through, and remove dead or dangerous branches.
Pine tree pruning is one of the most common jobs here. Tall pines drop needles and cones, and long branches can hang over roofs and pools. Ficus pruning is another, as ficus trees grow fast and wide in this climate. We also work on eucalyptus, plane trees and tall palms.
Tree removal, tree felling and stump grinding
Sometimes a tree has to come down. When there is plenty of room, a tree can be felled in one piece. In most gardens there is not enough space, so we use sectional felling: the tree is taken down piece by piece from the top, and each section is lowered safely.
After tree felling, the stump can be ground down or removed, so you can replant or pave the area. Felling some trees, such as large or protected species, trees on public land or trees in protected areas, may need permission from the town hall (ayuntamiento). We advise you on this before any work starts.
Safe work and a clean garden afterwards
Work at height is only done by trained climbers with the right safety equipment. We take care around your house, plants and paving, and we keep the work area clear while we cut.
